A Future Society

"I'll miss that," Eve said.

"You don't have to."

"I...have the pick in my suit. You just have to place it behind your neck, turn it counter clockwise. Then press in. It should unlock the Collar," Eve said. "It's not complicated."

"I didn't think it would be."

"Things could really change if you plan on doing something with it. If you get caught..."

"I'm going to need your help. Will you do it?"

Eve kissed her.

"I've fallen in love with one of our own slaves. I'm too far gone not to help."

"What do you think happened to the other girls?" Carla asked, sipping her protein shake. Anna and her friend sat together in Carla's room, a suite even bigger than Anna's, with two chairs, a table and a bathroom that the two often shared for meals and feminine deportment lessons. Neither of the girls' rooms had a window. They had not seen the sun since their earliest days, and soon considered the blinding white hospital-like lamps of the Temple to be the brightest thing they would see.

"I suppose the Madam let them go to new homes," said Anna, the weight of her Collar holding her head closer to her food than normal. At least it felt heavier.

"Lunch is a lot quieter without them. I guess their replacements will be here soon enough."

Anna nodded, slowly chewing on her lunch of carrot sticks and wheat bread.

"Do you think we'll remember this place?"

"Yes. The cruel parts of it too," she said.

"What's wrong? Upset we didn't make the grade?"

"No," Anna said. "We're never going to. We're not girls," she said in a whisper. "No matter what the Madam says."

"Anna, please, don't say that. It's just a matter of time. When we're fixed, we'll be able to go out and live."

"We'll still be different. Our dicks will still be there. We'll still be outcasts."

"You'd rather stay here?" Carla asked. "The world won't have us as we were."
